Laura Brumsey has been serving the Compressed Gas Association as Senior Vice President since early 2018. Helping guide the organization through difficult macroeconomic times, including the pandemic, she has successfully advocated for the compressed gas industry numerous times before Congress. Among her legislative wins:

• Promulgation of enhanced Hydrogen Safety Standards.
• State-level advocacy in numerous jurisdictions to promote more uniform access to a standard menu of compressed gasses. A major push for CGA in the coming years will be federal-level implementation of these changes.
• Successful defense against legislative imposition of decreased flow rates in industrial equipment specifications.

The Compressed Gas Industry has recognized Ms. Brumsey’s contributions many times over the years, most recently with the award of the Gas Industry Advocate of the Year.
