American National Standards Program
CGA has been a member of the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) since 1970 and is an ANSI-accredited standards developer. CGA develops American National Standards (ANS) in accordance with ANSI’s Essential Requirements. Participation in the development of a CGA ANS is open to all persons who are directly and materially affected by the proposed standard. Please see below for CGA’s ANS procedures, committee member application forms, and a list of active CGA ANS committees.

- CGA is announcing the revision of H-5, Standard for Bulk Hydrogen Supply Systems. CGA H-5 is proposed for revision as an American National Standard and as a proposed National Standard of Canada. The H-5 consensus body is currently seeking participants in the producer, distributor, user, general interest, equipment supplier, and other categories. P-18, Standard for Bulk Inert Gas Systems
- The Compressed Gas Association (CGA) is announcing the formation of a consensus body for the proposed American National Standard (ANS) CGA P-18, Standard for Bulk Inert Gas Systems. This standard contains minimum requirements for locating/siting, selecting equipment, installing, starting up, maintaining, and removing bulk inert gas supply systems. Membership on this consensus body is open to any directly and materially affected party in accordance with ANSI’s Essential Requirements. Currently, this consensus body needs participants from the producer, user, general interest, equipment supplier, and distributor/retailer membership categories. If you are interested in participating on this consensus body, please send an email to kmastromichalis@cganet.com no later than September 30, 2024. Future proposed change (PC) cutoff date: October 28, 2024.
