Safe Hydrogen Project
In 2023 CGA announced the launch of its Safe Hydrogen Project, an ambitious new safety initiative working to establish and promote industry-wide standards for the production, transportation, and storage of hydrogen and the safe operation of hydrogen systems.
The Compressed Gas Association (CGA) has been producing standards for hydrogen systems for nearly 70 years. Our growing library of 30+ safety publications and standards address the safe operation for producing hydrogen, storing hydrogen, delivering hydrogen, and applying hydrogen as a fuel source.
Latest Hydrogen Standards:
- H-7 Standard Procedures for Hydrogen Supply Systems
- H-13 Hydrogen Pressure Swing Adsorber (PSA) Mechanical Integrity Requirements
- H-17 Guideline for Small Scale Hydrogen Production
- P-41 Standard for Locating Bulk Liquid Storage Systems in Courts
- P-96 Reciprocating Cryogenic Pumps and Pump Installations for Hydrogen and Liquefied Natural Gas
- P-12 Guideline for Safe Handling of Cryogenic and Refrigerated Liquids
- H-16 Guideline on Remedial Actions for HP Plant Components Subject to High Temperature Hydrogen Attack
